Mid-Atlantic Studio Mechanics Local 487, I.A.T.S.E.
Welcome! We are the craftspeople who work on the technical side of the Motion Pictures and Television Production in Delaware (west of Rt. 13), Maryland, Washington D.C. and Virginia.

Our work has encompassed everything from big budget blockbusters to small independent films, commercial, music videos, political spots, industrial / corporate video as well as television series. Our members represent the most qualified, experienced and professional technicians and craftspeople in the region.
In 1990 the inception of Local 487 began with dedicated individuals that obtained a Charter with The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (I.A.T.S.E.).

That Charter with the following individuals names is still proudly displayed in the Local 487 Office.
